Analogue Photography:
Capturing raw emotion through a lens
Since getting my first camera at age 8, I’ve been obsessed with photography. I’m all about raw emotions, natural lighting & storytelling.
I mainly work as a Street photographer & I intentionally work with Analogue cameras. I have a background from Copenhagen Art school.
I work with natural light, which also add’s an extra challenge - Working this way is exciting for me and I often find that the combination of analogue cameras and natural light adds a layer of “texture” to an image, giving it the look of a painting, when printet on gallery paper.
In my studio in Copenhagen I work with more experimental photography, where portraits and objects play a big role.
- Please always feel free to reach out if you wanna work together, or you’re interested in buying some of my photography.
Some of my work are on display in the Studio, and you’re always welcome.
All my photos for sale are printet on top quality Mat gallery paper. You can follow my instagram account to see much more photography and art work, just scroll down to the end of this page and hit the insta logo. Or find me @Stella_stella_stellaaaaa /Pixelfed: @Stella_stella
Film work:
I work as an artistic filmmaker. Mainly working with “Documentary abstractions”.
My recent short essay film “Feels like…” was shown at Cph:Dox 2023, with showings at Kunsthal Charlottenborg and SMK (Statens Museum for kunst).
I did the direction, editing, production and sound for this film, and had help from my Wonderfull team mate Silje Seneberg Christensen with the cinematography.
I’ve studied film and storytelling at Copenhagen Art school & Dox:Academy.
My work is always based on raw emotions, and often portraits a movement in society. “Feels like…” is based on the feeling of being a women in a society that often portraits the woman as “the mother” - Walking around my city CPH I realized that all female statues around the city (the very few I saw) would always show the woman as sad, weak, small or carrying a baby. This story created in society that women are limited to that, made me angry. “Feels like…” is my loveletter to women, and a 9 minute opportunity for anyone to get a feeling of what might be going on inside women’s mind. I recommend seeing this film on a good and big screen, with good sound and time to actually really experience it.
I really enjoy doing small film projects, so always feel free to contact me for collabs with music videos or smaller experimental productions.
Visual Art:
I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember. However, the moment I truly started working more professionally with my art was in my mid twenties, when my dad passed away. 3 years later my older brother also left this world - It was a very difficult time for me personally, as they were the people closest to me. They understood that creativity is my oxygen, and the loss of them left me with a deep grief.
- All my visual art comes from a place of dealing with grief.
The grief of loosing people that we love, the grief of the political climate in the world, and the grief of what we humans are doing to this planet and Mother Earth.
“Grief never goes away, it only changes color” - To me is a fact, a way I go through life and the philosophy of which my art is based.
My paintings can be viewed at my Studio in Dybbølsgade 62, Vesterbro.
You can always stop by if I’m there, or make an appointment to see the works - simply send me an email.
